Bubbl.us is another website for creating mind maps. While not as professional as Mindomo, users can start creating immediately without having to click on a link in an email. You still need an email address for login if you need to access your web later. I started the same mindmap for the SHS Library on Bubbl.us and embedded here so you can see the differences.

PostHeaderIcon Diigo - Save Sites and Research

Use Diigo to save websites.  You can access the websites on any computer.  But, Diigo is more powerful as a research tool.  Instead of just bookmarking, highlight portions of web pages that you find useful.  You can attach sticky notes to specific parts of web pages.  The highlights and sticky notes stay on the webpage - never worry about losing your personalized information!  Diigo enables effective collaborative research. You can easily share your findings, complete with your highlights and sticky notes, with friends and colleagues. A project team, a class, or a club can create a group on Diigo to pool relevant resources, findings and thoughts together.  Try Diigo today!

PostHeaderIcon Save Your Files!

You’ve tried saving your files to the jump drive.  Your drive crashes.  You’ve tried using a floppy.  It falls to pieces.  You even tried the network drive.  Someone deleted your file.  Frustrated?  The solution is Dropbox.  Save your files virtually to Dropbox and access them anywhere you have Internet connection.  Simply to Dropbox, click on Create an Account, enter in all of your information, and click Create account. You are done! If you need help, see one of the librarians.
