Posting Video: Easy as Eating Pie…

Posting student or teacher produced video has gotten a lot easier for K-12 bloggers. It’s a 2-step process: First, upload your video to TeacherTube (which likely is not blocked by filters), then copy/paste the auto-generated ‘Embeddable Player’ code directly into your blog post.

Here’s a sample I grabbed from Bea Bruce’s students at Chapman Elementary:

Using TeacherTube accomplishes two sticky tasks: No worries about network storage, and no need to futz with video player plugins.

This process really is very easy but I found working with TeacherTube to be somewhat frustrating and slow. Navigation can be a problem. I found myself logging in over and over again. But maybe that’s just me.
Once you upload a video, you may have to wait till the next day for it to be approved and posted. So don’t despair if your video does not show up right away on the site.

Good point about the TeacherTube experience. I’ve had similar. I wonder if uploading after/before internet rush hours would help…
