If you are looking for a different format for your students to report what they have learned, software with a high WOW! factor and instant engagement,
try Glogster’s educational site, http://edu.glogster.com. Through Glogster, students can produce interactive posters, called glogs, choosing from pages of eye-popping backgrounds, text boxes, frames, and graphics. Audio, video, and images may be uploaded for use in a poster and links can be inserted.
The basic program is free and a new premium version launched this month. There are excellent tutorials on the home page; FAQs are well-written; the tech support team actually answers emails, though it might take 2-3 weeks.
Within the district, there are some problems with functionality of the software due to Internet restrictions but, for the most part, it works well. Since they cannot right-click, students will have to be taught the work-arounds for adding media and images to their Glogster toolbox.
Students have a great time with this software and pick it up quickly. A fifth grader went home, logged on, and created a glog on her own after just two days of instruction. Glogs are a good substitute for traditional book reports or research projects.

Good post. Can you add a link to a glog by one of your students?
